Bathroom Humor

Since I really dont want to go thru the clinical cases I have to study next, I decided to grace you, my reader, with a little tidbit from a recent lecture: The Bristol stool scale. This handy little device allows the patient to scientifically describe the consistency of his or her stool to the physician when things, in the words of the lecturer, "don't go right down there."

#1 = Seperate hard lumps, like nuts
#2 = sausage-shaped but lumpy
#3 = like a sausage but with cracks on its surface
#4 = like a sausage or snake, smooth and soft
#5 = soft blobs with clear cut edges
#6 = fluffy pieces with ragged edges - a mushy stool
#7 = watery, no pieces

mmmm....
